Split Rock Lighthouse

Split Rock Lighthouse

Split Rock Lighthouse once warned mariners of rocky danger in an area where compasses and ships were wont to go astray. Built after a particularly vicious storm in 1905, the lighthouse aided Great Lakes shippers for over half a century. This historic landmark is located within Minnesota's Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Open to the public, the beacon beckons tourists from around the world.
